New York Yankees are taking charge tonight!

Tuesday, July 31st, 2007

WOW what a different team it looks like tonight!  Who is not going to homer tonight from the Yankees?  Bottom of the 7th and Johnny Damon just hit a homer.  Lets see who else hit a big one tonight.  Two for Matsui, Posada, Cabrera, Cano, and Abreu.  How about them apples Red Sox fans :)

Just as I am typing this Duncan hit a home run!  Now that is instant blogging!  Alex Rodriguez is 0-5 tonight.  It seems like the number 500 just is not coming to him just yet.  As soon as he hits 500 time will go on like normal.

It is the top of the 8th now and I am going to bed.  We can put the nail in the coffin on this game.  The White Sox will get back into shape tomorrow.  Hopefully the Yankees can hold this strong hold!

Niters everyone GO YANKEES

Finally the bats were in full swing on Sunday!

Monday, July 30th, 2007

Hits were in full swing for both teams 29 hits for both teams total.  Yankees closed the game in the 8th inning with 5 runs.  Wang seems like he is pitching pretty damn good this year.

Johnny Damon helped the Yankees avoid a sweep in Baltimore which stopped the Orioles’ six-game winning streak thank god!  Damon had three hits which is well deserved right now.  Hope he gets in a groove soon!

Wang pitched a decent game he is currently 12-5 this season.  The next game is tomorrow  at 7:05PM EST against White Sox.  Hopefully they can pull it together and get a sweep out of it.

Update next couple days.

Yankees Drop another with Clemens on the mound

Sunday, July 29th, 2007

Well here we go again.  Looks like the New York Yankees are not doing what they are suppose to be!  They are dropping games they shouldn’t and possibly winning games they shouldn’t but it is not adding up just yet.

Scott Proctor gave up a Home run in the eight inning which should of not happened.  He needs to build up his confidence quickly to start pitching like he should.  No home runs in the either inning.  Just uncalled for.

On a good note if that is possible the Red Sox are Nine games ahead of the Yankees and the Cleavland Indians lost last night as well.   The next game is today at 1:35 EST.  hopefully the Yankees do not lose today.

Yankees Drop the first game

Saturday, July 28th, 2007

Well the Yankees were on a come back but did not come all the way through.  Money can’t buy you wins now can they?  The Orioles put the nail in the coffin in the bottom of the Eight Inning.  That is all she wrote.  The New York Yankees are (55-48) Game 2 is tonight at 7pm EST  Hopefully the Yankees can take out the bats and hit when runners are on base to bring them home.  If they can not execute that they will not be winning many more games that are close.  Barry Bonds hits his number 754 he is One away of tying the record.  If you like him or not this is a pretty big mile stone!  I would like to see how the media reacts when Bonds breaks the record.

Update: Yankees sent struggling starter Kei Igawa to Triple-A Scranton and recalled infielder Chris Basak.  Hopefully he can get his game back in Triple A to regain his confidence.  Sometimes this is best for a pitcher.  Hopefully Kei gets his Grove back :)

Yankees get long awaited win!

Friday, July 27th, 2007

They needed this long awaited win in the first game.  They were up 8-6 the then the Oriealos scored one in the 9th to cut the New York Yankees lead to one.  Then closer Mariano Rivera took over to earn his 16th save of the season. Rivera allowed three hits and a run in the ninth inning.  That is all she wrote for this close game.

As of now the Yankees are losing 3-2 it is the top of the 6th.  Now it is the bottom of the 6th

Igawa worth 22 million

Friday, July 27th, 2007

If my memory serves me correctly he is getting paid 22 million.  Is Igawa worth that?  Not currently he has been chocking BIG TIME.  This not the usual New York Yankees team with him pitching.  Do they play like they are going to lose when he is pitching?  They got spanked last night agianst the KC Royals.  They did take 3 out of 4 which is better than splitting it in half.  No runs by the Yankees they had base runners but no one to drive them in.  I give it to the Royals for not getting swept.

Hopefully the Yankees can take the Suspended game tonight against the Orioles and then the regular season game tonight as well.  The suspended game is suppose to start at 7pm and the regular season game is after that.  Hopefully they can sweep the Orioles in the three up coming games.

Who’s on the mound this stretch?  Tonight Andy Pettitte (6-6) Saturday Roger Clemens (3-4) Wang (11-5)

Update later tonight or tomorrow when the games are in process or after the game.
